Tabletop Displays

Lunker Flies are displayed on the mount of your choice, with driftwood or river rock most commonly chosen.

Nymphs can be mounted with their hook point inserted into a hole drilled in a stone. Due to their hackles, dry flies must be mounted with a post drilled into the lower bend of the hook.

Mounts are sold separately. Many customers choose to supply their own mounts. In the case of stone mounts, this saves shipping costs and allows them to pick a stone that matches their local geology and/or interior design

Wall Mounts

Wall mounts are a popular choice to display Lunker Flies, however due to the weight of the mount and fly itself, extra care must be taken to ensure the fly is mounted properly. If you purchase a wall mount from us, we will provide you with the proper hardware and instructions to mount the fly correctly.

Extra caution should be used to choose a location where the fly will not pose a hazard to passers-by, as the hackle wire  and tails are especially precarious at eye level.
